To guide students to pay attention to the writing structure by finding out the phenomenon and the reasons; to learn the key words and sentences. To encourage students to apply what they learn to practice by simulating the establishment of some chain stores; to cultivate team spirit. Teaching procedures: Stages Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Interaction Purposes Pre-reading Lead in students’ understanding of chain stores 1.To think about what the chain stores are, 2.their managing pattern, 3.the reasons for fast growing T – Ss To help ss 1.to have a better understanding of chain stores;2.to use accurate words related to chain stores. While-reading Guide students to appreciate 1.the writing structure; 2 the key words and sentences 1.learn whole passage structure; 2.learn the words and sentences T – Ss 1.To locate and learn the words and sentence patterns; 2.to analyze the writing structure. Post-reading Encourage ss use the words in the text to make up dialogues pair work : imagine opening an outlet and list the reasons. S—S To use the words and sentences in real situations. Assignment further consolidate the knowledge we have learned; create a situation where a new branch. Should be set up. simulation: work cooperatively in group of four to make out a enterprise proposal.
