Every other year the competition is held in a different location and we are delighted to accept the invitation of the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing to host the 2012 competition in China. Yehudi Menuhin was the first Western violinist to visit and give masterclasses at the Central Conservatory in Beijing. He has worked with many Chinese musicians and performed and conducted numerous concerts in China.
