In this class the students can pronounce and spell all the new words. Step 1 Learn to pronounce the words in Unit 11. ?1. Open your books at Page 154, read the new words by yourselves according to the phonetic symbols. Underline the words you can’t read out. （设计意图：学生先根据音标自己试读单词，将无法读出的单词标注出来，以此来强化他们自主学习的能力。） 2. Work in groups and make sure each of the students can pronounce the words . One student?read the new words, the others listen and correct the wrong pronunciation. Then share your pronunciation with other groups. （设计意图：每一组挑选一个中等生朗读单词，其他同学纠正发音。然后每一组中的第6号学生展示自己的读音，由其他组纠正发音。以此培养他们合作竞学的意识。） 3. Listen to the tape and read after it for three times.
