Finite Element Analysis of Reduction Gearbox Based on SolidWorks and ANSYS Abstract: This paper uses the SolidWorks design software to establish three-dimensional model of the new type reducer box which is used for producing cement in cement industry, and makes use of the relevant interface technology of SolidWorks and ANSYS to import the three-dimensional model of reducer box into ANSYS software. By doing stress analysis, we can get stress distribution and displacement and find out the most vulnerable regions of the reducer box. Doing model analysis, get the box’s vibration and its natural frequencies, this can provide evidence for optimizing structure of the reducer box. Key words：ANSYS；SolidWorks；reducer box；finite element analysis Introduction As an important part of the machine, reducer is mainly used for transferring movement and force of prime mover to work machine, and changing the movement speed and form, power or size and direction of torque, make sure to adapt the needs of other work machines. In recent years, with the rapid development of cement industry, the corresponding reducer used in the cement industry also upgrade rapidly. The primary mission of this paper is to do stress analysis and model analysis for the new type reducer box used for producing cement, to get stress distribution by the stress analysis on the reducer box, and to find out the most vulnerable area of the box. Through model analysis, we can research the natural frequency and vibration of the box, which helps to analyze the sensitive areas that cause vibration on the box in theory. Comparing the analytic results with actual test ones can provide reference for optimization design of the reducer box structure.
