Unit FOUR Gender Roles and Family Value

Unit FOUR Gender Roles and Family Value Classification Classification is the mode of writing that sorts or organizes people, things, or ideas into groups or categories to help make them more understandable. In order to serve a specific purpose, the writer uses an organizing principle:how the people, things, or ideas are sorted. For instance, if you were atravel agent, you might classify vacations by the following possible principles in order to meet different clients needs. 1.By price(first class, second class, economy) 2.By special attraction(the beach, the mountains, the desert) 3.By accommodations(motel, cabin, trailer) 不同的住宿条件 (旅馆、客舱、房车) Sample Text 1 Since I have been working as a cashier at Wal-Mart, I have discovered there are several kinds of customers who drive me crazy. They make faces, roll their eyes, and look at their watches every ten seconds. What do they expect? This is Wal-Mart; there are always lines. The third is really my least favorite: suspicious customers who watch my every move as if my goal in life is to overcharge them. They turn the monitor so they can see every price, but that is not enough. After looking at the price there, they lean over the counter toward me and look at what price comes up on the register. Then, their heads snap back to look at the
