Common topologies include a bus, star and ring. 2.Protocol: The protocol defines a common set of rules and signals that computers on the network use to communicate. These rules include guidelines that regulate the following characteristics of a network: access method, allowed physical topologies, types of cabling and speed of data transfer. 6.2.1 Fa
