The International Forum on Chinese Management Research Ⅱ Study on the Exclusion of Family Enterprise’s Culture to the Management Pattern of Contemporary Enterprise Lingyan Cao School of Management ofLanzhou University Email: caolingyan@lzu.edu.cn Abstract: Family enterprise in China has gained tremendous success in many aspects during the past thirty years. At the same time, there are many problems in family enterprise, such as too small scale and too low ability of continuous development. Beginning with the relationship between management and culture, I raise the standpoint that the culture in family enterprise has great effect on the management characteristic of the family enterprise. Moreover, it is the key factor of reflecting continuous ability of family enterprise. The culture of family enterprise accelerates the emergence of family enterprise in our country. But along with the development of enterprise, the characteristics of dictatorship and exclusion of culture will block the running management pattern of contemporary enterprise and will not make family enterprise suit the demand of contemporary economic society, so the family enterprise of our country has low ability to develop.On the basis of the above views, we summarize five exclusion representations between the culture of family enterprise and management pattern of contemporary enterprise. Moreover, I analyze their causes and harmfulness and raise the idea of culture rebuilding of family enterprises to promote family enterprises grow up continuously and healthily.
