So my experience of foreign culture boils down to three basic stages: anger, acceptance and appreciation. When I aa1aa my life in China I was often filled with failure and aa2aa over the way things were. Things were seen as clearly “aa3aa” and I rejected the view of there being other ways of doing things. Afterwards I came to aa4aa different ways of doing things but still saw my own ways as aa5aa. For example, fish is never aa10aa with the head in my country, thus my feelings went from “Ugh! I can’t eat this! The fish is staring at me saying, `Youre a aa11aa man. Take this off the table,” to “I’ll let my friends enjoy, but Ill just stick with the other aa12aa,” and to Would anyone mind if I eat the eyeball? It is not the same with every westerner. To go through the three aa13aa, some take longer than others. It all depends on how aa14aa you are and how tightly you hold to your own culture.
