Die Compensation（PAMSTAMP） The Die compensation dialog box This dialog box allows the user to compensate springback effects on the die. The idea is to deform the die (build a false tool deliberately), so the stamped blank sheet gets the right shape after springback. The aim is to obtain the shape of the reference blank (trimmed blank before the springback of initial simulation). Therefore, an initial simulation must be done prior to any compensation process. To apply the compensation on the feasibility, the active project must be one of the initial simulation files (pre or post). Compensation is done iteratively. We assume that iteration 0 is the initial simulation. Each iteration corresponds to a stamping computation where tools have been compensated. Beside a standard stamping computation, the algorithm generates some specific files (results, output, history, exported die...). All additional files are generated in the directory of the initial simulation project.
