Study on Damping Property of Resin Concrete MaterialABSTRACT This paper introduces the manufacturing process of resin concrete. The amplitude frequency response curve can be obtained by using free vibration test method and the damping ratio of specimen can be calculated with half-power bandwidth method. By comparing the damping ratio between specimen and cast iron, can provide a reference for the design of the bearing parts of machine tools with good dynamic properties.KEYWORDS: resin concrete; free vibration test method; amplitude frequency response curve; damping ratio.0 Preface With the development of society, modern mechine equipments tend to high speed, high efficient and automatical, the problems of vibrations, noises and fatigues of machines are more and more prominent. Vibrations and noises not only worsen the environment between people and machines, but also threaten the operators’ health seriously and result in mental and physical fatigues. What’s worse, the random broadband excitation can bring about multi-formant responses that cause electronic devices useless, instruments imprecise, and the structures of the mechanical components fatigue. At the same time, it will affect the stabilities and reliabilities of the mechanical equipments badly and reduce the compaign life, either[1]. Especially for spacecrafts, satellites and other aerospace structures and aircrafts, submarines and other military equipments, structural vibrations can cause damage to carriage machines, decrease the accuracy of the antenna position, or make the navigation facilities useless. Therefore, reducing vibrations, decreasing noises and improving the environment between people and machines are the right things to solve. Nowadays, a lot of methods and techniques to solve the problems of vibrations and noises in actual engineering are developed, among which the damping technology is the most effective and important one to control structural resonances and noises.
