Summarize the students’ activities during the summer holiday and lead to the present tense by the simple past tense. Step Two: presentation Create a real situation to present the new words and phrase “proper”, “by the way”, “bell” and ?volunteer?. Listen to 1a and answer the following questions. Check the answers. Where has Rita been? Where has Jane been? What about Maria? 3. Explain the differences between “have/has been to” and “have/has gone to” Step Three Listen to 1a again and finish 1b.
