The third party force and Xi’an incident 1.0 The reason why I picked this particular topic Xi’an incident was the successful abnormal coup initiated by the patriotic Kuomingtang generals who endeavored to turn Jiang Jieshi’s policy “suppressing the internal rebellion before resisting the external invasion ” at the moment of deeper invasion by Japanese army and fatal decision of Chinese nation; the peaceful resolution of Xi’an incident actually ceased the civil war, enhanced the second cooperation between Kuomingtang and Communist Party and constructed the initial national united front of resistance against Japan, thus became the hinge of turning the political situation. 2.0 The arrangement of teaching Based on the guidance of historical materialism of Marxism, this teaching explores the enhancing role of the Third Party force in the occurrence of Xi’an Incident from the following five aspects: consensus preparation, mass people foundation, the ideaturning of Zhang Xueliang, the formation of “three in one” political situation in North-west China and the fuse of Xi’an Incident. This teaching describes the occurrence and peaceful resolution of Xi’an Incident from the perspective of Third Party with national bourgeois as the principal, explores its role in Xi’an Incident, and in turn analyses the status and contribution of national bourgeois in Chinese history of revolutionary united fronts.
