Section A (1a-1c) Teaching Aims 1) Let the students master the following words and phrases: rules, arrive, late, hall, dinning hall, listen, listen to, fight, sorry, listen to music, arrive late for school, be on time. 2) Let the students master the following sentence structures: Don’t eat in class. You must be on time. We can’t listen to music in class. 3) Enable the students to talk about their opinions about some rules using the target language. 4) Enable the students to express their views about some rules and let them make some rules in English by themselves. Let them know that some rules are necessary and no rules, no games. Whether at school or at home, we should follow the rules and do as expected. Teaching important and difficult points 1) Teaching important points: Let the students to use “Don’t …”, “We can’t…” or “We must…” to talk about some school rules. 2) Teaching difficult points: Enable the students to tell the difference of “ Don’t…” apart from “We can’t…” and can use them to describe the rules correctly. Teaching Aids PowerPoint, Listening materials and blackboard. Teaching methods. Group work, Pair work, Competition, Discussion and Situational teaching method. Teaching procedures. Step one: Teach the new words and expressions. Present the new words and expressions with pictures. Teach the new words and expressions one by one. After teaching, let the students read the new words together. Step two: What can\can’t we do to be a good student? Present some statements and let the students judge what can we do or what can’t we do to become good students. Then check in the brackets if we can and cross if we can’t. Before the students check or cross the statements, explain some difficult sentences and then let two lines of students translate these following statements in
