授课学时： 8学时 章节名称 Unit 8 Time 备注 教学目的和要求 通过本单元的学习，使学生掌握文中的目标词和短语，熟悉本文的篇章结构，了解人们对时间有着不同的看法，而这些对时间的看法可能会导致严重疾病，然而人的不同时间观是可以通过采取一些手段来进行改变，最后能够使学生认识到我们要与自然和谐相处就必须意识到大自然的时间仍然影响着我们的世界，决不应该忽视它，但是我们有自由去选择究竟是做机械时间的奴隶还是它的主人。 重点 难点 （1）内容重点是人们的时间观影响着人们的生活态度以及如何通过采取一系列的手段来改变自己的时间观以便与自然更和谐相处。 （2）重点单词的讲解、对比，学生能掌握、记忆并熟练运用。文中语法知识的讲解，学生能举一反三。 （3）难点：brink/ edge/ border/margin; alter /change词义辨析 教学方法 教学手段 （1）教学方法：课堂讲授为主，师生互动学生为主进行讨论、对话、回答问题等。课堂讲解以举例、对比，学生参与拓展来突出重点，解决难点。 （2）教学手段：读写教程以口述、板书为主，师生互动；听力材料、背景知识等采用多媒体辅助手段；视听说课程以多媒体为主展示视听教材、材料等，进行训练。 教学进程设计（含教学内容、教学设计、时间分配等） Part One Preparation (about 50mins) 1.Background Information(about 10mins) There are various concepts of time in the world, and as has been proved that different cultures have drastically different concepts of time. Urban cultures are governed by the clock, to the extent that their members tend to keep their appointments, but some urban cultures are more time-urgent than others. Rural cultures are governed by the weather, the seasons, and the sun. so their concepts of time tend to be cyclic rather than linear. At planting or harvest times may be very time-urgent, but at other times they may simply sit patiently watching the sunset and waiting for the season to change. 2.Class Activities (about 30mins) Group discussion: 1) Idioms: Time is money. Time will tell if we are right. Time heals most troubles. Lost time is never found again. Time and tide wait for no man. Time works wonders. Question: what can you get from the above idioms. 2) Read the poem and answer the following two questions. Time is too slow for those we wait, Too swift for those who fear, Too long for those who grieve, Too short for those who rejoice But for those who love, time is eternity.
