The sensor under test is activated by an appropriate stimulus in the input signal. Alarm sensors detect the status of the signal, performance and sensors count faulty parity sums and indicate violation of thresholds.The stress test may involve rapid sequences of events to test alarm filters in SDH equipment.The measured results are reported to the Operating System (OS).The interpretation of the results depends on the configuration of the network element Alarms also produce responses in the return paths which must be verified on tributary interfaces and management interfaces.detected error - reaction on return path B2 errors - MS-REI (MS-FEBE) B3 errors - HP-REI (HP-FEBE) BIP-2 errors - LP-REI (LP-FEBE) TX RX : STM-N with framed 140 Mbps or fully structured framed signal.
