There are 7 parts in my speech: Teaching Material analysis, teaching aims, teaching emphasis and difficulties, teaching methods, teaching aids, teaching procedures and blackboard design. Part 1 Teaching material analysis This lesson is from Unit4 of book 8 A Oxford English. It is the first part of this Unit. We have learned about computer in Unit3 and computer is a great invention in the world. They are both about science and technology. So there is a special link between Unit3 and Unit4. In this part, We will learn about three great inventions: wheel, telephone and light bulb. We will also learn how they help us in our daily lives. It is very important in this Unit. Part 2 Teaching Aims The aims of the lesson 1. To know the following words and expressions Comfortable, carriage, century, passenger, invent, practical, since, distance, mobile phone, anytime, develop, lamp, candle, daytime, Since then, keep in touch with, in the daytime, help sb do sth, as....as,not as...as. To learn something about three great inventions and how they changed our lives. To grasp the main idea of this article and use the information to introduce inventions. The aims of ability To improve the ability of getting information by scanning and skimming Develop communicative ability. The aims of emotion Cultivate the spirit of loving science, Stimulate the spirit of exploring, Part 3 Teaching emphasis and difficulties Emphasis: To understand the new words and expressions. To develop the ability of skimming and scanning. Difficulties: develop their communicative ability To master how to introduce the inventions. Part 4 teaching methods: For this topic, I will apply five-step teaching and task-based teaching. I think if I want to improve the students’ oral English.
