The success of one’s work or the prosperity in his calling was the sign of being God’s elect. 3.Every Puritan must read Bible to find God’s will and search for one’s individual contact with God. 4.Because of persecution, some Puritans started the English Revolution while others fled to Holland. The Pilgrim Fathers Unsatisfied with the life there, some puritans took the ship Mayflower and left Holland for North America in1620. They were called the pilgrim Fathers .
