Teaching methods Skimming method to find the main idea of each paragraph. Task-based method to finish the teaching assignment. Discussing method to arouse the students’idea. Teaching aids A cessette a computer a projector Teaching aids: A cassette, a computer and a projector. Teaching Procedures: Ⅰ Pre-Reading 1.Warm-up T: Do you like travelling ? Ss: T: Have you been to New Zealand ? Ss: T: What do you know about New Zealand? Look here:(Show the map about New Zealand) New Zealand is made up of North Island and South Island. It is a very beautiful country. Every year it attracts a great many tourists. There are eight large cities:such as Wellington/ Auckland /Dunedin /Queenstown /Christchurch etc.(show the pictures about the cities) T: Wellington is the captial city . Auckland is the largest city. So I suggest:As your guide, I advise you to go to Auckland. 2.Lead-in : A guide to Auckland*New Zealand (Write on the blackboard) TNow today, we are going to travel to Auckland * New Zealand. Look at the photos and try to get your first impression about Auckland.( show the pictures about Auckland) T:Aukland is such a beautiful place. How to get there? What do you need if you go there?
