T he esu lts show that eccent icity affects sign ificantly on the bea ing capacity of the spec mi ens and the slende ness atio has som e deg ee of influences as w el,l though the two a e independent. Du ing the expe mi ent, the d iagona l lac ing ba s of the specmi ens a e in e lastic state. W hen the specmi ens each the nonlinea stage, Po isson s atio of the nea load steel tube inc eases sign ificantly and begin to eflect con finem ent effect distinctively.
