DR MÁRKI-ZAY JÁNOS PROFESSIONAL RESUME I was born on October 19, 1943. in Gyula. I graduated from József Attila University of Art and Science in Szeged in 1967, and I got a degree in mathematics- physics teaching. Since I finished university I have been working as a teacher. I got married in 1970. I have three children and seven grandchildren. I have lived in Hódmezõvásárhely since 1970. Besides my job as a teacher I have a hobby, which is experimenting and going around the country. Since 1967 I have been regularly organizing lectures and series of lectures on physics, sciences, astronomy and environmental protection. I have lead several study circles. At the moment I am organizing experiment demonstrations which are to be held monthly in two-sessions for the students of our town. The lectures organized by me are broadcast on the local radio and TV and could be read about in the local papers as well. In order to improve the conditions of teaching (which as I noticed are rather insufficient at schools) and to popularize physics I made new instruments for the demonstrations. I have several innovations to help teaching maths and physics. Parts of my instruments are suitable for comprehensive illustration of certain chapters in physics. My innovations in the field of physics teaching are mainly in connection with electricity (electrostatics, magnetism), substance structure, studying waves, statics and environmental protection. In many of my experiments I use the model method, which enables the demonstration of phenomena impossible to illustrate in another way.
