Acco rding to the custom in stru ction feature of N IOS ii, adding this module to SO PC Bu ilder, expanding a new hardw are based floatingpoint ar ithm etic instruction, w hich can be applied in NIOS IDE. Comp ar ing the o utput and calculating time betw een NIOS ii softw are arithm et ic and the new hardw are floatingpoint instructions, the superiority of the hardw are instruction computation is verif ied, and a more eff icient choice is provided fo r NIOS in floatingpoint ar ithm etic.
