Abstract
Thispaperpresentsanaugmentednetworkmodeltorepresenturbantransitsystem.Throughsuch
newt orkmodel,theurbantransitassignmentproblem canbeeasilymodeledlikeageneralizedtraffic
newtork.Simultaneously,thefeasibleroutein such augmentedtrnasitnewtork isthen defined in
accordnacewith thepassengers’behaviors.Thepassengers’travelcostsincluding walking time,
waitingtime,in—vehicletimeandtrna sfertimeareformulatedwhilethecongestionsatstationsna dthe
congestionsinrtansitvehiclesarealltakenintoaccount.Onthebaseofthese,anequilibrium model
forurban rtansitassignmentproblem ispresented and an improved shortestpaht method based
algorithm isalso proposed to solve it.Finally,anumericalexample isprovided to illustrateour
approach.
