Abstract: Objective To eval ate the color doppler flow imaging ( CDFI) in detection of carotid atherosclerosis and
clinical val e Methods To observe the common carotid artery and its bif rcation, the internal carotid artery , external
carotid artery intima-media t hickness, plaq e echo and hemodynamic changesResults 3670 cases of t his gro p, 1874
cases witho t carotid artery disease ( 511%) , and atherosclerosis w ere 1796 cases ( 489%) In s ffering from arte-
riosclerosis, only in the performance of membrane thickening or plaq es are accompanied by 692 cases ( 385%) , the mild
carotid artery stenosis in 381 cases ( 212%) , moderate stenosis in 423 cases ( 236%) , severe stenosis in 266 cases
( 148%) , carot id artery occl sion w ere 34 cases ( 19%) In this gro p, by CT , MRI diagnosed 612 cases of cerebral
infarction patients, incl ding 456 cases of carot id artery ltraso nd to detect at herosclerosis, acco nting for 7451% In
685 cases with diabetes and hypertension, CDFI detected 577 cases of carotid at herosclerosis, acco nting for 84% Con-
