Perfluoropolyether greaseswere prepared w ith perfluoropoly ether as base oil and polytetrafluoroethylene ( PTFE) as th icken ing agent, their properties of wear resistance and extreme pressurewere evaluated on fourball tribom eter. Their structureswere analyzed by FourierTransform Infrared Spectroscopy ( FTIR). Results indicate that perfluoropolyether exhib its very low vapor pressure, and the results of vapor pressurem eas uredw ith Thermogravmi eticAnalyzer in vacuum are correct. The antwi earproperty is increasedw ith the increase ofbase oil in perfluoropolyether greases, however the extrem e pressure property has no obvious change. FTIR analysis show s that the absorption peak of the greasew ith different content of thicker is consistent, only the intensity changes.
