Current research state and trend of biodiversity and it s relationship s wit h stabilit y were briefly re viewed in t he p ap er . Based on some cases of agroecosystems t hat rationally utilized biodiversit y , mechanism of biodiversity in improving agroecosystem prop erties and efficiency were analyzed . These were : biodiversity exp anded t he sp atial and trop hic or functional niche of agroecosystems ; strengt hened t he biological complementarity t hrough it s effect s on habitat environment or trop hic re lationship s ; directly or indirectly improved t he micro climate and soil environment ; and promoted bi ological recycling of nutrient s. The necessity and significance of strengt hening researches on agroe cosystem biodiversity , esp ecially t he current state of biodiversity of various agroecosystems ; effect s of management measures on biodiversity ; transfer and dynamic changes of biodiversity among neigh boring agroecosystems and t he t heory and met hodology of agroecosystem biodiversity ,were t hen ex plored .
