By controlling the exposure tmi e of a CC camera, blurred mi ages of moving particles are captured. Themotion blur parameters are firstestmi ated from the acquired mi ages and then used to establish the relationship between the 2- motion blurred mi age and the velocity ofmoving particles. Thismethod was used to process themotion blurred mi age of free falling particles. Smi ulation and expermi ental results indicate that the proposed method is feasible for particle velocity measurement.
