Based on the design of the XianFeng and ZhongYuan Star highspeed motor train units, a kind of rea sonable braking mode is proposed w ith theoretical calculation and comparison the alloy forged steel wheelmounted disc brake, rheostatic brake and regenerative brake for motor cars , the alloy forged steel wheelmounted disc brake and disc eddy current brake for trailers. The load on the brake disc and brake pad can be lightened w ith this kind of configuration and the brake ca pacity of the brake equipment can be improved to a great extent .
