T he least square m ethod w as u sed to estmi ate the d istribution mode l param eters of tmi e betw een failures and d testw as adopted fo r hypothesis testing in th is system. T he system w as deve loped based on M ATLAB and the physical fa ilure inform ation w as co llected by u s ing EXCEL. A ccord ing to the fault data from the physical shop floo r for ha lf a y ea r o f a gear box production line, it w as proved that the model o f the tmi e betw een failures o f CN C equipm ents isW e ibull distribution.
