1.ElectrodeActivation

a)First-timeuse--shakeelectrodewithforceforafewtimestomaketheinnersolutionflow

intothecompartmentofthemeasuringhead.Pouralittlewaterhardnesssoakingsolution

intothe“soakingsolution”transparentbottle(abouthalf);placethebottletotheblack

metalbase;takeofftheyellowelectrodecapandletthesensortipsoakinthesolutionfor

1hour.

b)Routineuse--Theactivationtimeinthesoakingsolutionis20to30minutesforroutine

use.Aslongasthereadingisstable(wheniconappearsandstaysonthescreen),

userscanstartthecalibration(alwaysperformcalibrationbeforetests).

c)Frequentuse(3timesofuseeveryweek)–findthesmallerwhitebottleinsidethe

transparentsoakingsolutionbottle;loosenthecaponthebottle,thenpoursomesoaking

solutiontoabouthalfofthebottle;thentakeofftheyellowelectrodecapandinsertthe

electrodeintothiswhitebottle,thenscrewtightthecap.Storetheprobeinthewhitebottle

whennotinuse;whenusing,justpullouttheelectrodeandrinseitwithdistilled/deionized

waterbeforetest.Noactivationneededanymorebecauseitisalwayssoaked(activated)

whennotinuse.

2.Calibration(takeB2,B3calibrationandmmol/Lasanexample)

a)Connecttheelectrodetothemeter:loosentheplasticcaponthemeter’sconnector;rotate

theblackcableheadtotherightdirectionsoitcanbeinsertedtotheconnectorofthemeter

(don’tforceitincaseofdamage);screwtightthestainless-steelcap.

b)Pressbutton,andCAL1willbeflashingsimultaneously,indicating
