NOTE:Intheseinstrutionswewillassumeusing5/16diameterdowels,

nominal3/4thikboardsanddrillingwiththe5/16drillbit.

Allfigurereferencesareonthefrontbackcovers.

EDGEDOWELING:

SETTINGTHECOLLARANDDRILLDEPTH

FOREDGEDOWELING

Youwillbedrilling3/4deepdowelholesineachpiece

sothe1-1/2dowelswillbeequallycenteredintoboth

boards.Inordertocorrectlypositionthedrillcollar,you

needtoaddthethicknessofthejigplusthelengthof

thebushing(1)tothe3/4depth.Thus,toalsoallow

forgluing,setthecollarslightlylongerthan1-3/4from

theendofthedrill(Fig.G).

PREPARINGYOURWORKPIECE

1.Drawlocationlinesonthefaceofyourworkpiecewherethedowelholesaretobedrilled.

Extendtheselinesatleast2inchesinfromtheedge(Fig.H).

2.Selectthedrillbushingthatfitsthedowelsizeyouintendtouse,andscrewitintothelong

sideoftheE•ZroDowelJig,usingtheholethatcentersonthethicknessofthestock

youareusing(Fig.I).

3.SecureyourworkpieceandattachtheE•ZroDowelJigtotheedgecenteringthe

2registrationlineintheappropriate“V”pointerasshownin(Fig.J).

4.Keepingthebushinginthesamepositionre-alignj
