Laterthatyear,IreceivedanemailoutofthebluefromMusicWorldfromSouthKorea,requestingalicenseforthesong.Theyhadchosenmysongfromthemillionsonthemusic-sharingwebsiteforathemetuneforoneoftheirshows.Iwasamazedandnegotiatedacontractfor$5,000fortheuseofthesongandsignedupstraightaway.Iwasprettyexcited,butdidn’tthinkanythingmorewouldcomeofit,soIfocusedonmyjobintherestaurant.

ThisFebruary,MusicWorldorganizedamusicalfestivalinSeoulandmysongDreamGoesOnwasalsochosenasthethemetuneforthefestival.IwatchedonYouTubeasmysongwasbeingplayedtoahugecrowdofpeople.Itwasamazing.

Afterthreedaysofthefestival,IwascontactedbyMusicWorldandtheyaskedifI’dliketogotoSeoultosingDreamGoesOninaconcert.Theyflewmeouttherethenextday.Iwaswelcomedlikeacelebrity—everyoneImetthoughtIwasabignameinEngland.IhadtobreakthenewstothemthatIwasn’tapopstar.
