2.Significance

Withtherapiddevelopmentofglobaleconomyandsciencetechnology,energy

issuesarebecomingmoreandmoreprominent.Globalcarbondioxideemission

hasincreasedsignificantlysince2000.Withtherapidincreaseofcarbondioxide

intheair,globaltemperaturerisesrapidly,andextremeweathersuchasstorms

andheatwavescausedbyglobalwarmingseriouslyendangershumanlifeand

property.

InChina,thedualcarbongoals,thatis,peakcarbondioxideemissionby2030

andcarbonneutralizationby2060areincludedinthe14thFive-YearPlan.The

dualcarbongoalsaremajorresponsibilitiesoftheglobaltocopewithclimate

changesandimportantcornerstonesforsustainabledevelopmentofindustriesand

enterprises.Inthetelecommunicationsindustry,carbondioxideemissionsare

mainlyfromconsumedelectricity.Theenergyconsumptionofbasestations,

communicationequipmentrooms,anddatacentersaccountsforthemajor

proportionofthetotalenergyconsumption.Therefore,itiscriticaltosaveenergy

fortheseitems.Theenergyconsumptionofa5Gbasestationatfullloadisabout3

to4timesthatofa4Gbasestation.Especiallywiththeformalcommercialuseof

5Gnetworks,energyconsumptionincreasessignificantly.
