Lesson 9 I Like Summer
Teaching aims:
1. Be able to understand and say: I like spring. Do you like spring? Yes, I do./No, I don`t.
2. Be able to listen and say the words: season, spring, summer, autumn, winter.
Teaching key and difficult points:
1. The pronunciation of “spring”(爆破音).
2. How to express one’s favorite season
Teaching aids:
1. colour cards.
2. PPT. Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Warm up Greetings.
Step 2 Lead in
1. Review the words such as ball-pen ,ruler, pencil-box.
2. T: Now, I have a question for you. How many seasons are there in a year? (Four).
Step 3 Presentation
1.Show the first picture and teach the word “spring”.
1).Teach the students to read the word, and pay attention to the pronunciation of “p”(爆破音) .Let them read out some words contain plosive.
2).Lead the students to spell the word “spring”.
3).T: I have four colors. What color is spring?
S:Green. T:Spring is green.
4).Sing the song.
2.Show the second picture and teach the word “summer”.
1) .Teach the students to read the word
2).Lead the students to spell the word “summer”.
3).T: What color is summer?
S:Red.
T:Summer is red.
4) .Sing the song.
3.Show the third picture and teach the word “autumn”.
1).Teach the students to read the word
2).Lead the students to spell the word “autumn”.
3).Use the leaves show the word “fall”.
4).T: What color is autumn?
S:Yellow.
T:Autumn is yellow.
5).Sing the song.
4.Show the last picture and teach the word “winter”.
1).Teach the students to read the word “winter”.
2).Lead the students to spell the word “winter”.
3).T: What color is winter?
S:White.
T:Winter is white.
4).Sing the song.
Step 4 Let’s sing
Sing the seasons song.
Step 5 Let’s write
T: I have a paper for you. Firstly, you should observe the words carefully, Secondly, you need write the words follow the templates, and then write your own words.
Step 6 Learn the poem. Song of the seasons Spring is green. Summer is red.
