PAGE PAGE 25 基于语料库的英语专业八级口试中的词块使用研究 摘要：学生对词块的掌握程度对英语口试的结果有着一定的影响。本文以英语专业八级口试为语料，利用语料库分析软件AntConc3.4.3对其中的2-5词词块进行了研究。研究发现，学生在词块方面的掌握仍有所欠缺，倾向于使用简单并短小的语块。研究者建议，在教学过程中，教师应对词块教学采取足够的重视。 关键词：专业八级；词块；口试；语料库 A Primitive Corpus—Based Study on the Use of Lexical Chunks in the Oral Test of TEM-8 Abstract: Mastery of lexical chunks has an influence on students’ oral test results. This research analyzes the 2-5 word chunks in students’ TEM-8 oral test by using the software AntConc3.4.3. The result shows that students prefer to use simple and short chunks in their oral output due to the poverty of chunk-mastery. Based on the findings, it suggests that chunk-based oral English teaching approach should be highlighted to promote learners’ oral level. Introduction 1.1 A Brief Introduction of the Oral Test of TEM-8 TEM-8 is a kind of grade examination for English major students. TEM-8 was put into practice since 1991 by Ministry of Education in China, which was carried out by Foreign Language Teaching in Colleges and Universities Steering Committee. But as for the oral test part, it is examined otherwise. The full name is TEM-8 Speaking and Interpreting Test. In 2011, there are 9983 students taking part in the test and the number is increasing. It is held in the middle of December every year. The TEM-8 oral test consists of three parts. The first part is interpreting from English to Chinese. Examinees will hear a complete English material (lasting about two to three minutes, about three hundred words). There are about one hundred and fifty words for examinees to translate. The speech material will be played twice. The second part is interpreting from Chinese to English. It lasts for two to three minutes. There are about four hundred words and about two hundred words need to be translated. The third part is making a comment on a given topic.
