PAGE PAGE 23 从女性主义角度重读《了不起的盖茨比》摘要：作为美国“爵士时代”的代言人，菲茨杰拉德的代表作《了不起的盖茨比》引起了一个时代的赞美，在美国文学历史上有着重要地位，在今天也具有重要的现实影响。不难发现，读过这本书的读者都会被菲茨杰拉德描绘的美轮美奂的住宅、喧闹无比的聚会和上流社会的奢华放纵所感染，从而心念盖茨比一生都在追逐的“美国梦”，而黛西正是盖茨比美国梦的重要部分。小说的结尾，读者遗憾地发现盖茨比的美国梦破灭了，从而将过错归结于黛西。本文将从女性主义的角度出发，重新解读一下这部巨作，重新定义黛西在盖茨比美国梦中承担的角色。本文首先对作者和小说进行了简要介绍。其二，本文对前人研究进行了文献综述，然后介绍了女性主义及女性文学批评的概念。在第四部分，本文枚举了造成盖茨比美国梦破碎的几个主要原因。本文的最后一部分拟从女性主义的角度对《了不起的盖茨比》一书进行重新解读，作出盖茨比美国梦的破灭是时代的产物这一结论。关键词：女性主义；美国梦；受害者；《了不起的盖茨比》 A Reinterpretation of The Great Gatsby from the Perspective of Feminism Abstract: As a spokesman of Americas Jazz Age, Scott Fitzgerald has his famous book The Great Gatsby, which has aroused a times admiration and which has its important status in the long history of American literature. It also has its important realistic influences nowadays. It is not difficult to find that readers can easily be absorbed in the splendid building, rumbustious parties and an extravagant and dissipated life style that Fitzgerald depicted, which keeps people thinking about the American Dream that Gatsby spends all his life chasing. And Daisy is the most important part that consists of Gatsbys American Dream. At the end of the novel, readers are disappointed to find the failure of Gatsbys American dream, and make it a fault of Daisys. In this paper, the author tries to reinterpret the great book from the perspective of feminism, and give a new definition of Daisys role in Gatsbys American dream. Secondly, it provides a literature review of previous research on this novel. Then it deals with feminism and feminist literary criticism. In the fourth part, it discusses different causes that contribute to the disillusion of Gatsbys American Dream. In the last part, this paper tries to give a feminist reinterpretation of the book and figure out that the failure of Gatsbys dream is a product of the age.
