PAGE PAGE 19 从象征主义角度解析《麦田里的守望者》里面红色猎人帽的象征意义 摘要：象征主义手法是文学作品中常用的一种创作技巧，即用某个意象来文章背后的主题或者反映人物的心理活动以及性格特点。在《麦田里的守望者》中，塞林格就多次运用这个艺术手法，描绘了许多经典并且内涵丰富的意象。也由此，作者成功通过一个青少年的口吻描述了二战之后50年代的美国社会的现实与黑暗以及成长的霍尔顿遇到的种种烦恼与困境。而在这其中，那顶红色猎人帽伴随着主人公流浪三天，在文中被反提到了约24次，其浓浓的象征内涵对理解小说题旨，剖析人物性格特点有着不可忽视的作用。本文拟就从象征主义的角度试着从帽子的名字、形状、颜色、霍尔顿穿戴帽子的时间与情景等多个维度仔细品读解析《麦田里的守望者》里的红色猎人帽背后不同的象征意义。 关键词：象征意义红色猎人帽霍尔顿麦田里的守望者 The Symbolic Meaning of The Red Hunting Hat in The Catcher In The Rye Abstract: Symbolism is widely employed in literary writings to convey some particular implication that is hidden in the words but fairly embodies the theme of the work, and to describe the inner mental activities and diverse characters of the protagonist. Salinger largely employs the device of symbolism in his The Catcher in the Rye, and set up quiet a lot of classics and of the capitalist world after World War II in the third person and a youth’s tone，and various difficulties Holden meets in his growing. Among those images, the red hunting hat, which is in company with the roaming of Holden, is been mentioned about 24 times. It’s quite important for understanding the theme of the novel and dissecting the characteristics of the protagonist through its symbolic meanings of the hat. This thesis attempt to analyze the potential symbolic meaning of the hat from several dimensions as followed: its name, its color, its shape and the moment and environment Holden wears it.
