The Development Status of Cross-border E-commerce inChina and Russia and SWOT analysis Abstract: Over recent decades, the trade barriers are abolished between countries as the rein force of globalization and election commerce, which offered china more opportunity to join the global market. Meanwhile, with the rise of electronic commerce in Russia, the business mode between China and Russia gradually changed from traditional mode to e-business mode. Whats more, policies supporting cross-border e-commerce has been strengthened in China in the context of the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative and the regular meeting between the China Premier and the Russia Premier in 2019.However, because of the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia (NCP) at the beginning of 2020, it has a great influence on trade between China and other countries. All nations pay close attention to the epidemic situation of NCP and in the meantime, they are worried whether they are carrying virus or not. Whafs worse, on the account of the epidemic situation of NCP, it sets off a series of problems such as the delay of returning to work, the discontinuation of goods supply, the slowness of logistics and so on. To reach a trading volume 200 billion dollars, we have to overcome not only the difficulties mentioned above, but also others such as the disadvantages of Chinese e-commerce, the inefficiency of logistics distribution in Russia and so on, which guarantees a good development of economy and trade between China and Russia. This paper will use SOWT model to analysis the development of cross-border e-commerce between Russia and china, internal advantages and disadvantages, external challenges and opportunities are in consideration, which aims to optimize this new trading system in both countries.
