Abstract A power plant 600MW supercritical coal-fired boilers pulverizers imploded accident, resulting in a two mill expansion joint duct rupture and the air-duct was out of shape,affecting the security and stable operation of the unit . This paper analyzed the cause of the accident and the stone coal stacked in the wind tunnel at the entrance of spontaneous combustion is the main cause of the explosion inside the mil By analyzing the reasons of stone coal stacked, we proposed measures in the prevention mill explosion.
