Bermuda Triangle ———The Mystery of Bermuda Triangle Introduction BERMUDA Triangle (百 慕 大 三 角 ) is the greatest modern mystery of our supposedly（恐怕，可能，按照推测） well understood world: a region of the Atlantic Ocean between Bermuda, Miami, Florida, and San Juan (圣 胡 安 ， 波 多 黎 各 岛 首 府 ), Puerto Rico (波 多 黎 各 岛 ), in which many ships and airplanes are said to have disappeared. Though no scientific evidence has been found, reports of unexplained occurrences have continued from the 19th century to the present.  Notable incidents List of Bermuda Triangle incidents 1945: Flight 19 was a training flight of TBM Avenger（复仇者） bombers that went missing on December 5, 1945, while over the Atlantic. 1948 ：On December 28, 1948, a Douglas DC-3 aircraft, disappeared while on a flight from San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Miami. 1963：On August 28, 1963, a pair of US Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft collided （碰撞）and crashed into the Atlantic.   1843:USS Grampus schooner（纵帆船） last seen March 15 presumed sunk（下沉，sink的过去式） in a gale（狂风） off Charleston ,South Carolina. 1872 The mysterious abandonment in 1872 of the 282-ton brigantine Mary Celeste is often but inaccurately connected to the Triangle, the ship having been abandoned off the coast of Portugal. 1918:USS Cyclops ,collier ,left Barbados（巴巴多斯） on March 4,lost with 309 crew（全体船员） and passengers en route to Baltimore ,Maryland. 1921 :A five- masted（有桅的） schooner built in 1919, the Carroll A.
