What the tourists could get from the virtual tour and the way to get it depend on the functions of the virtual tour web sites, so it is necessary to conduct researches on the functions of the virtual tour web sites. This pa- per aims to conduct research on function evaluation of virtual tour websites in china. Based on related works of the virtual tour and evaluation index system for the web sites, the authors establish the evaluation system of the virtual tour web sites. Then, they make a content analysis of some samples of virtual tour web sites, which are typical and recommended by some famous search engine with a tremendous scale, including Baidu, Ya- hoo and Google.
