Lead-in 1. Lead-in by showing some pictures about what the people are doing .,Ask the students to answer ,Then change the present time into past time . Try to let the students answer ,Then think over what the difference is between “what are you doing “and “ whhat were you doing ?” so that the teacher can explain the past progressive tense .Try to practice with some other pictures . 设计意图：把现在进行时和过去进行时进行对比，先让学生自己比较异同 ，然后教师点出不同点，让学生豁然开朗，引出过去进行时态。 2.教师用课本中的主题图通过提问引导学生看图说话，教师可以参考以下问题进行提问 Look at the picture ,where was she ? and so on . 学生按照1a要求完成句子与场景的配对，有了前面的铺垫，学生应该可以很轻松地完成这项活动,只需核对答案即可。 Step2 Listening Listen to the TV reporter and circle the correct responses in 1a ,完整地播放录音，不停顿，让学生整体感受并准确地捕捉自己需要的信息，这是学生第一次正式开始学习过去进行时，因此1b听力活动是培养学生捕捉主要信息的能力。 Check the students’ answers .
