The results suggested that most of the farmer workers remitted below 1 000 yuan each month, and the amount of remittance showed a ∩-shaped with the worker’s age growing. Farmer workers with high school or technical secondary school education did a better job in remittance than others. Farmer workers in western region remitted more than those from middle and eastern areas. The farmer workers working in the secondary industry remitted more than those working in third industry.
