Abstract Abstract Abstract Simplification is the rule in the development of Chinese characters system. Lots of scholars have discussed this phenomenon from their own background and on their own view, and those discussions are useful and will be continued. Aiming at this problem, especially the ideology、policy、 methodology and others associated with Chinese character simplification, I integrate the correlated data from literature、net and meeting and give a research on this problem by the methodology of macroscopic and microscopic、historical and present view, the primary conclusions are as followings: Firstly, the stability and inherit must be considered on the cleaning up of the Chinese Characters, its evolution should be according to natural rules rather than authority; Secondly, the two thousand years cultural heritage and present Chinese cultural circumstance are also be considered; Thirdly, the further adjustment should be established on its efficient communion and modern information; Lastly, it should be based on the scientific domain and social regulation. In a word, its natural evolvement and moderate regulation are the primary rules on the process of Chinese character simplification in the future, and need further research.
