Ask the Ss to predict the content of the reading passage. (1min) Students have a glance at the title thinking about the content of the text. (2min) o arouse Ss’ interest and make preparation for reading. Reading Task 1 Reading for understanding: Go through the text and have the Ss choose the main idea of the text(1min) Then ask Ss to match the main idea of each paragraph.(2mins) Students read the passage and then choose the main idea of the text and then match the main idea of each paragraph. (3min) To help students get the general idea of the text and main idea of each paragraph. Task 2 Detail reading Ask Ss to read the paragraphs 1-3 carefully and answer questions. 2. Read para4 carefully and do the following activities: (1) To have the students work in pairs to complete the blanks. (2) To have the students fill in the blanks and then retell the paragraph (3min) 3. Read para.5 -6 together and then answer questions. (1min) Ss are instructed to read the paragraphs 1-3carefully and answer questions. (5min) Students read para4,5 and then fill in the blank in blanks in pairs (10min) Read para.5-6 together a
