DEVELOPMENT DEVELOPMENT AND RESEARCH OF YC6MK NEW GENERATION HEAVY．DUTY DIESEL ENINGE AB STRACT In recent years，with the rapid development of China economy and highway construction，especially government strict management for the truck overload， China heavy duty truck increase is booming，the demands of heavy duty diesel engine market are more and more growth，meanwhile the government emission standard of vehicle is more and more strict．In order to meet market demand of heavy duty diesel engine in China and upcoming China IV emission standard， Yuchai independently had designed and developed a new generation of YC6MK China IV emission standard heavy-duty diesel engine． The study object of this paper is about development of YC6MK new generation heavy duty diesel engine，discussed overall design and development ideas and progress of YC6MK engine，through optimization and improvement of the major parts such as cylinder block、cylinder head、cylinder liner、cylinder head gasket and SO on，in addition we also evaluate and improve the other engine parts， and combined with advanced CAE simulation software of CFD and Abaqus，conscientiously improve the reliability of YC6MK engine body． In the early stage of project development，we introduce one-dimensional performance calculation software，preliminary forecast engine performance and 万方数据 give give directions for the next combustion development．In design of experiment (DOE)and combustion test development phase，through much more contrast test of turbocharger、fuel injection and combustion chamber matching，we select the best combustion development combination，in the end YC6MK engine also carry on the vehicle matching verification and test． In a sum，YC6MK engine pass Yuchai all the strict mechanical、 performance、electronic control calibration and vehicle matching test，compared with YC6M engines and other competitive heavy duty engines，YC6MK engine power performance、economy performance、reliability and emission performance have obvious adva
