The multi-used of sports facilities is an urgent demands for the society. The thesis aims at the multi-use of Sports Halls in German universities. By using the methods of induction, comparison and research, the concept of “multi-functioned sports halls” are defined. The methods of multi-function during the use of sports halls in German universities are presented with the analyses of related files and research sources. Firstly, related background information of the Germen public physical development is given. Then the author explains the experience of physical education in Germen. After that, a brief study of the sports facilities in Germen universities is presented to define the object of study: Sports halls of Germen universities, with a combined study of sports facilities in China. Then, the author introduces the situation of the use of sports halls in German universities. Through introductions and analyses, several analyses are described. The goal of the study are to: 1, concluding a general methods for the multi-use of sports halls in German universities; 2, introducing the features of the multi-functioned sports halls, including the master plan, the function plan, the court designing, the structure designing and the building technology; 3, sorting the research data into categories. In addition, use the concluded methods to analysis a real designing program in Xi’an, China. To verify whether the methods concluded before are in practice. Then based on the current Chinese situations, the author summaries the previously proposals on university sports facilities.
