ABSTRACT ABSTRACT 万方数据 万方数据 ABSTRACT Space design is the core and essence of landscape design. With the strengthening of ecological consciousness, artistic and aesthetic awareness - raising, plant landscape gradually revealed to be the main advantage of landscape space design not only an important means of expression of the landscape expression, but also important aspects in the planning and design. In relation to the current that emphasis on current situation of study on space composition of forms, and that is not conducive to distinguish between elements of spatial entity and the role of peoples subjective factors on the formation of space, this research attempts analysising of plant landscape spatial entities from the perspective of spatial entities, introducing the basic theory of space to make systematic research on the plant landscape, and draw the following conclusions : First, the plants in the landscape have two types of space: physical space and mental space. They are formed by two different ways. Second, plant space boundary is a objective material which is different from spatial entities and space elements.Differernt plant spatial entities form space boundaries via different information routes Third, plant space is made by its special interface that has two kinds of formation mode.One mode that forms on the surface of object features called entity space interface, and the other that forms in the human visual space called visual space interface. Fourth, there are 23 types of basic space in plant space. Basic space is used for analysising plant space has a few advantages that include inductive ability, strong evolution, covering the multi-dimensional, detachable flow space, and is of huge significance in explaining plant space.
