Abstract Study of poetic writing of Ge Feis Jiangnan Trilogy Study of poetic writing of Ge Feis Jiangnan Trilogy Abstract GeFeis face, dreaming of mountains and rivers and spring finished in Jiangnan” are collectively referred to as the Jiangnan Trilogy, which is an important exploration and practice of his poetic writing. In this paper, the trilogy is the object of study of GeFeis novels. Study starts from the poetic theory, attempting to analyze the language, narrative and characters of GeFei’s novels to explore his writing in the context of popular culture, such as how to inherit Chinese poetic tradition, how to conduct poetic writing, how to show the ultimate concern to the peoples life, fate and significance. This paper use the method of close reading to discuss the trilogy of GeFei’s poetic writing in four parts. The first chapter analyzes the poetic characteristics of novel language. The lyric rhythm, the aggregation of imagery and metaphor and the return of classical language of traditional novel express strong feeling, constitute the poetic images, containing the classical style. The second chapter analyzes the poetic narrative of novel, specific performance are the long inherent time and the virtual story line. The former increases the novel capacity and tension while the latter creates a mystery, fantasy atmosphere and the poetic exploration walks into the inner depth of life. The third chapter analyzes the poetic features of characters. The characters’ pursuit of the essence of life and poetic love beyond life and death convey a life meaning and primitive vitality detachment from the earthly and deep into the spiritual realm. The fourth chapter analyses his poetic writing motivation, namely, GeFei’s consciousness transformation from pioneer to the traditional, the inheritance and development of the classical novels, as well as the pursuit of the utopian idealism. GeFei’s trilogy poetic writing, can cause people’s attention and reflection to the poetic na
