哈尔滨 哈尔滨工业大学工学硕士学位论文 - - II - Abstract Magnetorheological Finishing (MRF) is an advanced optical manufacturing technology which has been being under development since 1990s. It makes use of rheological behavior of magnetorheological fluids under specific magnetic field, while integrating electromagnetism, fluid dynamics theory, and processing theory of optical components, making it a deterministic process which could obtain excellent surface quality and high processing efficiency. However, currently almost all the MRF systems developed by research teams in China are traditional, in which the part to be polished by MRF is put on the top of the polishing wheel, while the MR fluids running through the gap between the two. These devices are of some advantages when processing small-sized components, but inappropriate when processing large- sized one because of their relatively larger size and mass, difficulty to fix and some other reasons. Unlike the traditional MRF system, this paper presents a new type of MRF device, which put the part under the polishing wheel during the operation, thus being able to process large-sized parts. The research has been carried out from the following aspects: Firstly, according to the basic theory of electromagnetic fields and the requirement of inverted MRF experiment, with idealization or approximation of some conditions, the MATLAB software were applied to design and simulate the magnetic field generating devices, namely the electromagnets, and then the size of all parts of the electromagnet, the number of the coil turns, the current, etc, were calculated. Secondly, with the data obtained by MATLAB and the corresponding model of the designed electromagnet, the ANSYS 2D and 3D APDL parametric simulation model of the electromagnet were established, then the 2D and 3D electromagnetic field simulation were carried out, and main parameters of the electromagnet especially the poles were optimized with the help of orthogonal design, and thus a
