Abstract Abstract II II THE SIMULATION RESEARCH OF PANTOGRAPH-CATENARY’S DYNAMIC CHARACTERISTIC ABSTRACT On the basis of briefly describing the pantograph-catenary’s system of high-speed electrical railway, we have researched the pantograph-catenary’s relations of Beijing-Tianjin 350KM/H level intercity high-speed railway, the first intercity high-speed railway of China. In high-speed electrified railway, along with the increase of speed, the interaction of the Pantograph-catenary dynamic system becomes more and more obvious, only consider all kinds of assorted system facilities including pantograph and catenary then can we get an actual dynamic characteristic of the pantograph-catenary. The stability of the current collection and the safety of the train are directly affected by the dynamic characteristic of the pantograph-catenary dynamic system. Along with the continuous increasing speed of the train, the dynamic contact becomes more and more complex and leads to a great influence in the stability of the current collection, so we must fully research the dynamic characteristic of the pantograph-catenary system. In this article we firstly introduce the process of how to build the finite element model of pantograph and catenary respectively, by using the finite element model of catenary, through the static analysis we have got the catenary’s static stress; then we have carried out the modal analysis for the catenary and have got the natural frequency and mode, and have started related analysis of it. On the basis of others’ research, by using the dynamics simulation model of pantograph-catenary coupling system in MATLAB then the contact force have been gotten and analysed. Then we consider the contact force as initial motivation, using the contact force as external moving load of the finite element model of catenary, carry out the transient dynamics analysis on Pantograph-catenary coupling system, then the dynamic response of catenary in different speed have been got
